Meet The District Board

Governor Ashley Malmsten

Hello! My name is Ashley Malmsten, and I am the District Governor for 2008-2009. I am currently a Junior at Michigan State University. I have not declared a major yet, but I am going pre-med with the hopes of pursuing a medical career a few years down the road. This upcoming year will be my 6th year in the Kiwanis family. I was a Key Clubber at my high school in Dearborn Heights for four years. In my spare time, I like to go bicycling, hang out with my friends, go bowling, and just go outside when the weather permits. I look forward to serving our district this year along with the rest of the district board. Have a great summer and we'll see you in the fall!

Secretary Courtney Meyer

Hello Kiwanis family! My name is Courtney Meyer and I am the 2008-2009 District Secretary! I am a student at Albion College, majoring in Political Economy and International Studies, and minoring in Chemistry and French, with the hopes of working for a thinktank to develop Africa. I was a Key Clubber for four years in high school, and served as the club's treasurer and bulletin editor, and then as the District's Division 3 Lieutenant Governor and District Project Committee Chairperson. I was also the co-founder, vice president, and bulletin editor, of Northwood University Circle K, who is now focused on beginning a club at Albion. I love to make a difference in the lives of others, and when I have the opportunity, I enjoy reading books about economics and politics, dancing, and whenever possible, sleeping!
