District Convention 2008 "Game Show Extravaganza!" March 14-16th, 2008 Soaring Eagle Casino, Mt Pleasant, MI Hosted by Central Michigan University Greetings Fellow Circle K members, Alumni and Kiwanis Family, My name is Ashlee and I am in charge of organizing the District Convention on behalf of Central Michigan University Circle K. You will find a flier promoting DCON along with a powerpoint that you can show your clubs. Also, the registration form and guest meal form. Please promote to your clubs that this is a premiere resort, The Soaring Eagle Casino. You could never stay here cheaper than what we are offering. Mt. DCON is short for District Convention. Each year DCON is hosted by a different Circle K organization, ie: DCON 2007 was hosted by University of Michigan and DCON 2007 will be hosted by Central Michigan University and the University of Michigan. All Circle K clubs and guests of the Michigan District are invited to attend this year-end weekend convention, where we unite to attend several service projects, various workshops, group banquets/meals, award presentations, Keynote Speakers and/or Special Guests, District Officer elections and our House of Delegates. Most importantly, it is a great opportunity to meet Circle K members from all over the district and establish friendships! Who attends DCON? All Circle K members, Circle K Alumni and Kiwanis family are welcome! Where is DCON? This year it is hosted by Central Michigan University and will be held at the Soaring Eagle Casino. The theme for this year is "Game Show Extravaganza!" When is DCON? DCON will take place the 14th through the 16th of March, 2008. How much does DCON cost? For Circle K members, the projected cost of DCON will be $150. This includes 2 nights at Soaring Eagle Casino, meals, and access to all of the events for the weekend. Guests will be able to purchase individual meals and banquet tickets. |
